Habitats Unit
Learning about habitats helps children understand the basic needs of plants and animals, as well as their role in helping protect the environment and the natural habitats around them. In this unit, your learner will discover what a habitat is and explore three specific habitats in our world: oceans, rainforests, and deserts.
 
This theme based unit is for children ages 5-7. We've included 4 lessons to work through at your own pace, in your own timing. In addition, each lesson includes an "Expand It!" page with 2-4 corresponding activities to further your learner's experience. The material is simply laid out for you, including materials you'll need, how to do each activity, and additional ways to experience the subject. Each lesson incorporates multiple learning subjects to maximize your time and teaching efforts, while giving your learner a hands-on, heart-centered experience.

Habitat (plant and animal survival, square foot habitats, categorizing, ecosystems, food chains)
Ocean (ocean layers, liquid density, coral reefs, bioluminescence)
