How many of you grew up with aunties, grandmothers, friend’s moms, teachers, and mentors who felt like “second moms” when you were a child? Women who cared, loved, supported, poured into, and nurtured you throughout various stages of your life. This is motherhood. This Mother’s Day, we wanted to give you an opportunity to intentionally think through who these women are in your learner’s life. We encourage you to take the time to acknowledge all mothers and mother figures - to honor them, thank them, and appreciate the unique roles they each have played. It takes a village, and we are thankful for all the women who stand in as mothers in ours. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you.
